Weissensee

Some pictures of Nancy dressed in a lake. That was inspired by The Last House on the Left, one of my favorite movie ever. Though, the quality is not good, I guess I must still learn how to use my camera properly !

Nancy II

Here are some other shots from my walk with Nancy in Prenzlauer Berg.

We did two other sessions : one at her flat with her paintings, and one at Weissensee, but I'm (surprisingly) too busy right know to find time to work on them... I've escaped from German classes because I can't even find time to write properly. Next week I'll start working as a translator for videogames.

Nancy Görlach

Nancy asked me to take some pictures of her. She's a painter and a writer, and she's helping me with trying to have my pictures shown here in Berlin.
Above are the two instant shots I took of her, and down the first portraits I sorted and enhanced.

The Smiling Toast

I'm still amazed at how Berlin always offers small details to draw your attention and make you smile.

School's out

I met Ana in my German classes. She's a Serbian actress.

We went for a walk and waffles in Prenzlauer Berg. She made fun of young Berliners walking barefoot merely to pretend they are cool.

She told me about the splitting up of Yugoslavia and the documentary she will shoot about her grandfather's village in Montenegro.

Sausages and manta rays

I went to a barbecue in Kreuzberg, thrown for an Australian guy who is about to leave Berlin.

I met Nancy, a painter who reminded me of heroins of American movies of the 70s.

The Australian told us about penguins and fishes, a German guy doing a PhD about Schopenhauer told me about the quarrels between famous philosophers, making a parallel with Lord of the Rings.  Around 11, some kids displayed beautiful fireworks.

Losing Time

I had lunch at my favorite café of the moment (corner of Sonnenburger and Kopenhagener Strasse), wrote, ended Drieu La Rochelle's Journal d'un homme trompé (which became one of my favorite book), took pictures... so why do I still have the feeling I did nothing and lost time ?
This led to the making of a cake, and the creation of this blog...

Here are some of the pictures of this windy Friday, as usual I got fascinated by the ripped party posters.

"Love is a work like any other, I don't like work " (Drieu La Rochelle).
