March 19th, 2009.

In October 2008, I moved to Berlin, found a roommate. One week after I moved in, I was diagnosed with cancer.

After the first 2 chemos, I started loosing my hair and asked my roommate to cut it short. I took this pic one morning, in between trips to Strasbourg every 8 days to get cured.

Berlin kann tödlich sein

Haven't posted in ages and now that winter's almost back, here are some pictures from last winter/spring...

Christmas' Apocalypse

I was in Elsass for a few days, and stayed at a friend's. We fought all the time, which never happened during those last 7 years.

On the 25th, I went to my grandparents'. I was all the more reluctant as they're often telling me how surprised they are I didn't end up being a cashier (yeah, well,  I have a Master Degree), and how lucky I am to work on shitty translations.

Actually it was pretty nice as they ignored me, while I was surprised my cousins remembered me from 2 years ago, and even asked me about Berlin.
I ended up taking lots of pictures to get away from the atmosphere, but ended up crying anyway.

My aunt and her guy are great though.

Short black hair's boring, they said.

On November 15th, a trendy hairdressing salon settled in Friedrichshain, the Ponyclub, held a show in Tape Club to celebrate its 10th birthday.

I was first asked to model but well, read the title, they found my hair boring and wanted to dye it purple.

As I refused, I was asked to take pictures of the event, a consolation that was actually pleasing me much more !

I especially enjoyed taking pictures backstage : crazy people - or rather people pretending to be so- and the global boredom they express...

I poured milk into my orange juice

Here are some instant shots I did in 3 different parties, in Paris, Berlin and Strasbourg. I've posted them randomly... so let's guess where's everyone from ;)

Philippe

On the German National Day, I went with Philippe to see the Royal Deluxe giants meeting under the Brandenburger Tor.

We joked about the fact that, like with every French event, they were late and the result was quite shitty.

Waiting for the puppets, we realized that we both have the idealistic ambition to open a bar-restaurant here, and were already dreaming about its location, decoration and features...

Vive le Feu

After one year in Berlin, I discovered for the first time the beauty of the walk on Paul-Linke-Ufer, between Kottbusser Tor and Görlitzer Bahnhof. Crazily beautiful houses and much less children than in Prenzlauer Berg... Then I went back to Warschauer Strasse.
